Taiwan (Taichung) - November 2014

Day 1

Just exactly one week before this day, my friend (CH) broke up with her boyfriend =.=

This trip was originally planned to go with her bf but since such a incident happened, and she can't find anyone who can go with her so last minute, i choose to give up my Bangkok trip and accompany her to Taiwan instead. (oops, ended up i have to find someone else to replace me for the BKK trip)

Short meet up with DouDou in airport as our flight was just 5 mins apart and she wants me to help her top up her Taiwan prepaid card lol.

Giving a try to airport fashion but FAILED! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Alright, off we go and headed straight towards Taichung after arriving at Taoyuan airport.

Our Taichung hotel (台中博奇大飯店VIP Hotel Taichung) is just located near the train station. 

Head out for breakfast at some local store. 

Because Taichung transportation is kind of troublesome, so the two of us tried to walk from hotel to 一中商圈 (Yizhon Street / Night Market). 

While on the way there, we passed by this 台中公園 lots of couples are here for wedding photoshoot~ Oh well, we having our selfie photoshoot HAHA!!

Arrived at 一中商圈

 CH decided to get her hair treatment done here. So we randomly went into a hair salon~

Lunch at Rabbit Rabbit

After the sky turns dark, we move on to our last destination of the day - 逢甲夜市

Eat & shop, eat & shop we go~

Day 2

Day to visit my Taichung friend 坤坤

Took train down to 豐原 and the crazy us walked all the way from station to her house.

because taxi driver simply think that we are some stupid tourist that they can successfully cheat us. BUT NOWAY!!! So we eventually walked for half an hour using my GPS.

康康豬豬血湯 the famous 豬血湯 store in Taichung! You can even find this store stated in Taiwan guild book!
Oh yeah that's right... This shop is opened by my friend family hahahaha!

Her whole family welcome us inside and treated us their famous menu 豬血湯!

I don't eat 豬血 but it would be rude to reject them, so i ended up finished everything!

Chatting with her dad throughout our 2hrs stay in the shop. 

 坤坤 drove us to shopping district and recommended this pineapple juice and 菱角酥.

Oh ya, it's also featured on Taichung guild book!

Back to her house and her husband drove us to 新社 as this is 新社花海 season!

We originally booked a driver to drive us to 新社花海 on the another day, since they are driving us there today, we cancelled the booking. oops~

We really came at the correct timing!

The sky turned dark, they drove us back to 中華街觀光夜市 and let us alight there.

Awww~ So thankful of them for this whole day. When u guys come Singapore, we will sure treat u guys well too:)

Day 3

Because we took a cab back to hotel during our day 1, the female taxi driver treated us very nice and talk to us a lot about Taichung. so we asked her to give us a tour on this day as we are travelling far out of Taichung.

Ever since my fractured of my elbow in Germany, i have phobia in climbing high up.
Look what? Selfie stick as walking stick? HAHA!

While on the way down, driver stopped us at the English Mansion (Old England 老英格蘭) for some photo taking.

Back to the city area, we told the driver that we wanna go 廣三SOGO百貨, so she dropped us there.

Walked around searching for a restaurant for our dinner and we saw 樂昂咖啡Love One Café!

I was planning to bring CH here for dinner during her birthday (which is two days later) but since we are already here, i shall treat her in advance. Hahas~

Loots of the day~ And yeah Longchamp bag as present for this birthday girl~

Day 4

Cafe hopping day!

Lying on the bed, Instagram-ing last minute to search for cafes in Taichung! (purely because we stayed too much days in Taichung until we got nothing to do!!!!)

We love walking.... we walked and walked and walked everyday!

Morning walked to La Petite Tarte 楽緹波児手作塔派 almost 1hr walk??

 

à la sha cafe at 五權 road. 五權西四街 was recommended by the lady driver. She told us if we have nothing to do in Taichung, can come and try out those themed cafe..

 

 

 

There's so many themed cafe at this 五權 area laaa~

 

 

 

Took the BRT train to 東海夜市  (thanks to the driver again, she told us that we can take BRT free ride till the end of 2014 as long as we have the yoyo card)

Finally ate 臭豆腐! And i finally found someone who love 臭豆腐 as much as me Kekekekek~

As the day is ending but not ending soon, we travel back to Taichung station - Mode Mall

Walked around the mall, nothing to buy, too bloated to eat~ Hahas.

Day 5

Happy Birthday my dear Chenghui!!'

Meet up with our friend Queenie. She used to intern in Singapore Robinsons and both of us get to know her.
Tasty for lunch and a birthday surprise!'

 

 

 

 

Walked and shopped around 勤美 area.

 

 

 

The very popular cheese cake shop! - 光之乳酪道南‧半熟 Cheese cake

Night shopping at 一中商圈 again. 

Farewell with Queenie as she need to go home for dinner.

Saw a Korean restaurant as both of us are craving but the queue is really mad long, waiting time is 45mins.

We gave up and saw 鍋大爺! It was use to be my favorite steamboat in Taiwan, but however i don't know did they changed the way of serving food or it's just because this is Taichung outlet which works differently from Taipei one. 

Done eating and we walked back to hotel~

Last night in Taichung! FINALLY!!!

Just Taichung only, my luggage exploded already...
