Yoogane Singapore!

It's gonna be my first first FIRST time blogging about FOODS!!
I'm really excited to introduce you guys to Yoogane (유가네)
Yoogane is a Korean restaurant famous with their dakgalbi, and yes, there is over 130+ outlets all over Korea!
This is their 1st store in Singapore located at Bugis Junction level 2. Very easy to locate the store, it's actually at the old nydc restaurant (if you know where is it).
Yea, say until the location, it's directly opposite to TonyMoly (oops~ have to promote our shop as well!)
Here is the address of Yoogane Singapore:
Bugis Junction
200 Victoria Street
#02-47/48
Singapore 188021
Opening Hours: 11:00 ~ 22:00 (daily)

While Yoogane is still under renovation, we always peek through our shop waiting for more progress on their renovation..
Until one day, the signboard is finally up!!
You won't know how excited i was back then, messaging all my colleagues and friends, planning on which day to visit after their opening..

1st May 2014 Labour Day..
Oh well, i'm a labour labouring on every labour day:(
Not gonna get sad over this, because it's Yoogane Singapore opening day!!!
Woohoo~ Congratulation!
1st day of business and it's so overwhelming!
My non-working colleague went over to queue at around 2.15pm while i continue to stay in the shop (i only have 1hr break time)
Received their call at 3pm where it's finally our turn to get in.
45mins of queueing time, i heard that we are actually luckier than some other people queued for 2hrs?!!!

Was given this upon entering to the restaurant, Yoogane mascot. So cute!

Once we gotten our seat, the staff told us that they do provide phone charging service for Apple and Andriod device.
There's a plug outlet located underneath every seats.
Woah great service! That's the most important things that we need in our daily life!!
(because my shop is just opposite, of course i don't need it.. hahas)
But one bad thing about this service is that people might just sit there occupying   seats while waiting for to be fully charge.
All of us wanted to try the Octopus and Chicken Galbi but unfortunately all the seafoods are out of stocks:(
Awww thats really sad. Maybe they didn't expect that the crowd is so crazy?

After ordering our foods, we went to the self-serve corner where we can get our own side dishes.

Jinghan took back a plate of PINK color sauce where everyone started to wondering what is it?
And dalaaa i got it right, it's strawberry sauce!
But what is that for??
Then, a friendly staff walked over and told us that is for the salad!

I love their kimchi!
Taste perfect!
Not too spicy, not too sour unlike those that you can find in supermart.

After around 30mins the food finally served!
4 of us looked at each other, our heart is asking, so little?!!!!
Probably its their first day operating or the staff forgot to tell us or whatsoever, we actually ordered the Yoogane's Chicken Galbi ($16.90) and that is actually for just 1 pax!
No wonder the portions is so smallllllllll.........
Normally the staff should ask how many pax we want, but we never think of it, they never ask for it. HAHA!
Oh well, it's okay~

We also ordered a Combination Dokboki ($6.90) which inclusive of the traditional rice cake (떡), cheese rice cake (치즈떡) and also sweet potato rice cake (고구마떡)!!
I really really really love the sweet potato rice cake!!
Ok, don't say i bias to things that got to do with Purple, but i really love that!
It's so soft and chewy until the traditional rice cake which is so hard to bite.

What's more, there is 10% off total bill + free dessert for UOB cardholders! (not sure when will the promotion ends)

Thumps up for Yoogane Singapore!
Their service is really really great!
They make us really feel welcome unlike other restaurant call and call and call them over and over and over yet no one respond to us.
And the friendly staffs walking around, asking for opinions.
With all these kind of good service, makes me wanting to go back again and again:)

3rd May 2014.
Third day of their business...
Oops~ I'm there again!

A very very short catchup with mummy Vivian, Liying & Jane.
I guess they make the most noise in the whole restaurant. Haha!

We were comparing the price & portions between Korea & Singapore.
Portions were smaller than Korea, price are slightly more expensive than Korea, but hello, this is Singapore, what do you expect?
I don't find it expensive personally, it's affordable, like normal restaurants price in Singapore, and the food taste is really quite similar to the Korea one!
Really hope Yoogane Singapore will maintain their food standards and pretty please don't disappoint me in anytime:)

Again, today we ate Yoogane's Chicken Galbi + Sweet Potato Dokboki + Original Dokboki + Egg Roll~

Vivian were complaining about the original dokboki is too HARD! (yes i agree)
And the staff told us that they are actually changing supplier for the dokboki soon. (hopefully won't be that hard anymore)
I still love the sweet potato dok, everyone too:)

Egg roll taste............... erm..........
So..so... to me.
But friends out there can't even finish it, the poor me have to finish up all the egg roll=.=

Liying was asking for kiwi sauce! (yes, korea store do have kiwi sauce)
Do hope to see kiwi sauce in the future~ Hahas!

Oh yaaaa, did i forgot to say?
Now minimum order must be 2pax!
Means like Yoogane's Chicken Galbi x2 ($16.90x2)
Some people who never been to restaurants in Korea might think that eewww what if i don't want to eat the same menu as my friend?
Hahas too bad for you! At least they are not that mean as compare to Korea restaurants.
In Korea, if you have 4 person, you MUST order minimum 4pax! There's no choice for you.
So, minimum 2 pax is already good enough..

Thanks to Jeremy, it's really my honored for getting Yoogane's VIP card!
Was told that this card is actually suppose to be given out to their own friends and families only and some lucky one like me who really loves Yoogane hahas!
Good job, you guys really successfully turn me into a die-hard fans of Yoogane!

7th May 2014.
It's my off day today, met up with my long time no see girlfriends for dinner at Yoogane!
Alright, it's my 3rd time in a week visiting them. HAHA!

On a Wednesday evening, why is the queue still so LONGGGGG?!!
We arrived at around 6.30pm and we finally get into the restaurant at 8.30pm!!
Exactly 2 HOURS of waiting time:(

Today tried Chicken Galbi with Chukkumi Octipus ($19.90 per pax, minimun order 2 pax) and of course the all time favourite Sweet Potato Dokboki :D

The Korean chef who helped with our table we find him super cute, as in because of language barrier, he can't really speak much. Like when he is trying to tell the boy what to do, this and that, he just used sign language throughout. LOL.
Hahas, can always tell us to translate, today 3 of us all know Korean well HAHA!!!

Today menu was somehow a bit spicy to me..
*note* i'm not a person who can eat spicy food, but i'll still eat it down if i love it:)

Enjoyed our meal and the free dessert too:)

Please do take note that Yoogane Singapore does not take any reservations, if you want to enjoy the good foods, do come early to avoid the long queue~
